'AVEC DES GLAÇONS' ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS & BRANDING
BACKGROUND
During my last year of high school, I took Visual Communication Design. As part of this subject, I was required to create my own brief for a project that had to include two presentations, that I would work on and complete throughout the year.
I chose to design a restaurant and bar called 'Avec Des Glaçons' (meaning 'On The Rocks' in French) located in Le Marais, Paris.
For my first presentation, I chose to design the interior of the restaurant which I would showcase with a visual presentation and architectural drawings.
For my second presentation, I chose to create the restaurants brand identity in the form of a logo and coaster.
RESEARCH
I gathered both primary and secondary resources as well as conducting observational drawings for each presentation.

IDEA GENERATION
I then moved onto the idea generation phase where I then used a POOCH model to evaluate what concepts I would take through to concept development.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
I then developed two concepts per presentation. I experimented with different methods and materials, including illustrator, paper cutting, water colour, comic markers and more.
During this phase, I challenged myself to push my designs forward through evaluating the elements and principles of design, using the SCAMPER technique and conducting regular SWOT analyses.

CONCEPT REFINEMENT
I then presented my folio to my peers and teacher where I received feedback. I used this feedback to refine my ideas.
I then put together mockup boards for both presentations.
During the refinement stage, I also organised my coaster design to be made, where I chose the material and way of presenting the model.
